Hi,

I am running a forum on phpbb and i had enough of the spam posts i get onmy forum. Is there a way to get rid of this? Also what is the limit of sending mass mail through phpbb? Does it depend on the web hosting company?

oh man, phpbb spam can be a pain in the arse Confused

There's a bunch of mods (hacks) to help fight spam. I found that some bots still easily get through though. Eventually I just switched to SMF instead of phpbb... Rolling Eyes

Cheers mate. I started this forum with few members but now i have 1981 users and the amount of spam i get is unbelievable. I dunno how to stop all this but deleting them myself. The mass mail not working either coz of that many spammers registered.

Yeah I noticed a while ago that phpbb can sometimes have difficulty sending mass emails to a lot of people, especially depending how you set the mail server...

I'm interested to see if SMF has that same flaw or not with that many users. Guess I'll find out in the near future Smile

I should dl the strobe and update my last.fm account, its been a while lol...

you can submit mixes to DI through their site but in my case, I asked GT nicely and he gave me a slot in voices of trance 15 and 25 Very Happy
