Well, I'm still the only seeder so it's gonna go kinda slow for a bit. The tracker is reporting an overall speed of 1006.49 KB/sec with 58 leechers. Once it hits suprnova it will definately speed up more. For some reason my submission hasn't been moderated yet.

Do you know if you're firewalled? If ports 6881 through 6889 are being blocked, downloading will be much slower. What speed does your BitTorrent client say it's downloading the mix at?

Tyler

to correct admin tyler there, it is ports 6881-6889. he accidentally put 8881-6889. And if you are on a dialup connection, naturally it will run slow. There is a nice tutorial about port forwarding in the support section. I now know a thing or two about it, so if you want, IM me on AIM.

heh...I can't see my monitor for shit. My eyes are all blurry. I don't know much about port forwarding on windows, but I could probably help someone out if they usin linux or maybe OSX. Also could help if you got a router that's doing the blocking.

Found a free tool to split mp3/que combinations into the singles w/o having to burn/re-rip them.

the mime type for the link should be application/x-bittorrent, not text/plain . Cheers.

Please explain how to set a mime-type via a link. It's usually located at the top of a page, within the <head></head> tags.

AFAIK that's not something you can do from a link. It just depends on what the user's file association for that particular file type is. Some may have to add it manually into the browser settings. then if you've got a download manager installed, it may just intercept and download it anyway. just have to mess with it and get it working how ever you prefer.

look in the apache documentation, its something like "AddType application/x-bittorrent .torrent", just stick that in a .htaccess file and it should fix it Mr. Green

Yah, I know u can add mime-types to mime.types (in /usr/local/apache/conf/mime.types for me). I'll read how this can be done without needing direct access to the server wide configuration. A .htaccess file might work.

the mime-type for the torrents should be correct now.

I just downloaded the elements torrent and my web browser reported the mime-type as application/x-bittorrent.
