Welcome to GTR, where we play the best mixes out!

I will try to answer a few questions you may have:
Q: What do I need to listen to GTR?
A: Winamp or Windows Media Player. Some others may work as well, give them a shot. The best player would be Winamp, it uses title streaming which will let you see the DJ name and mix title as they change. Windows Media Player does not have this feature. Update: We have recently added Foobar support as well.

Q: What kind of connection do I need?
A: Any high speed connect such as a LAN, Cable, or DSL will work as the stream is currently at 80kbps using AAC+. AAC+ is an advanced technology that allows the stream to sound very good at low bitrates.

Q: How can I get my mixes on GTR?
A: PM me (mattfm) and I will get with you about the mix and see if we dig it. We are accepting DJ mixes such as trance, progressive, house, and the like.

Q: Can I help GTR with bandwidth?
A: YES! PM me and I will help you setup a shoutcast mirror! (dial-up, cable, or dsl do not qualify)

This is all I have for now, will update as I get more questions... in the meantime, jam to GTR!

If you don't have winamp or don't want it you can click on winamp and receive the stream though Real Player and then you can get the title info....screw Microsoft's WMP

Yeah and through Real Player, it has this thing called perfect play, and so it temporarily records up to 12hours of music, so you can rewind to your fav. track or whatever.

But hey, when are you guys gonna make it so, that I can listen to Gtr behind a firewall, cause I have a spare at school and I want to listen to your mixes but I can't. The server keeps on timming out. help Confused Confused Confused Confused Sad Confused Confused

I'm having a problem when trying to play thru Winamp, all goes well for about 5 to 10 minutes then it just stops playing, and I restart Winamp and it plays fine the same way for about another 10 minutes then the same thing again Evil or Very Mad Thru Media Player I have no problems at all, I can listen for hours on end, BUT I hate Media Player its such a resource hog! Is anyone else having the same issues?? Or is it just me? I've tried changing the settings for prebuffering and all that but I cant seem to get it to work right on Winamp. On DI.FM it works great and I have a 160kps stream there with no problems Very Happy If I have to use Media Player then no biggie, I was just wondering if anyone else was having the same issue I am with the Winamp stream, Thanks! Twisted Evil

It's AAC+ so it sounds closer to 128-192kbps

Technology advancements are great Smile

I did notice something though... the max listeners went from 250 to 1000 to 120
