Has anyone ever came across this error before? This is a first for me. Yes, even though I advertise Linux in my signature, I do use Windows Xp as well. Just wanted to clarify that. Now back to my question here. How do I get rid of this? Don't tell me that I need to increase the numbers because that obviously seems to still give me the error. So what else can be done instead to fix this problem?

I recently saw someone having the same problem and ask that same question. He said he has like 8GB left on his hard drive. Don't know if he includes any/all partitions in that count.

I found out what the problem was. My files were really all messed up on the hard drive from not using chkdsk. Which I haven't used in a while now. Since I did a tuneup, I haven't got the error back since. I guess this is why my virtual memory couldn't write properly because of some blocked data file areas on the hard drive were interfering with it.

This is the error I got:

CHKDSK discovered free space marked as allocated in the
master file table (MFT) bitmap.
Correcting errors in the Volume Bitmap.
Windows found problems with the file system.
Run CHKDSK with the /F (fix) option to correct these.

78116030 KB total disk space.
3553224 KB in 19636 files.
6156 KB in 1993 indexes.
0 KB in bad sectors.
202198 KB in use by the system.
65536 KB occupied by the log file.
74354452 KB available on disk.

4096 bytes in each allocation unit.
19529007 total allocation units on disk.
18588613 allocation units available on disk.

Yeah you got it Very Happy
Do that at least once a month should keep you running smoothe and a defrag as well
Also in C: properties if you use "Disc C leanup" tab once it has run and told you how much space ypu will save, if you look up at top of window it should say "More Options" click that and clean up the "system restore" bit, it will keep your latest system restore but the old ones take up a lot of space!
Under tools "check now" option tick both boxes and just let it run usually takes an hour or so, but its worth it Very Happy

Yeah does happen with a few peoples system, but you can do the registry scan and not clean it will tell you what is causing the problems, its a bit like us a mature program lol, theres a few options you can turn of to stop it cleaning menu caches window sizes etc or in certain programs you use,its extremely well coded and is a good as the professional tools for fault finding, though it could do with a few of the more intense options turned of by default.
Well your sorted out thats the main thing, nothing ruins your listening time like a faulty system Very Happy
